Every once in a while, a film comes along that completely blows you away, and such is the case with, 'Everything Everywhere All at Once.' We both adored this film. It succeeds on every level and offers so much to the viewer that you will need multiple viewings to capture all of the great details. Michelle Yeoh is sensational, as is the rest of the cast, which includes the brilliant return of Ke Huy Quan. This film certainly won't be for everyone, but it definitely worked for both of us.

In this Nerd Flix & Chill podcast, we dive deep into this multi-genre, multi-verse masterpiece about a laundromat owner trying to do her taxes.

'Moon Knight,' continues to impress with its strong writing and great performances. The second episode, 'Summon the Suit,' explores Marc Spector's character and actions while also shedding light on the grand plan of Arthur Harrow and introducing us to Mr. Knight. This episode is tight and the pace is fast without racing. It is a great example of how the MCU is leveraging Disney+ to create shows that have highly cinematic qualities.

In this Nerd Flix & Chill podcast, we give our thoughts on this week's episode of 'Moon Knight.'

'Moon Knight,' made his debut on Disney+ with a first episode that does not waste any time getting our main character into the mess. 'The Goldfish Problem,' was a first episode that managed to do a lot of heavy lifting when it comes to establishing characters. This episode gave us quite a bit to discuss including the real-life example of the emotional turmoil on display in the restaurant scene.

Please enjoy our Nerd Flix & Chill podcast recap of the first episode of 'Moon Knight.'

We may be a bit late to the party but we are here nevertheless. In this Nerd Flix & Chill podcast, we talk about 'The Batman.' This film really has a clear vision, an incredible "noir" vibe, a detective story, and some truly epic sequences. Though not without some third act issues, 'The Batman,' is a very strong entry in the list of films about "The Caped Crusader." We break it all down in this podcast, enjoy!

Having just finished 'The Book of Boba Fett,' we wanted to do a show talking about where Star Wars is as a whole. With upcoming shows like 'Obi Wan Kenobi,' and 'Andor,' there is a lot to be excited about. However, we don't know much beyond the titles of these shows and films. In this Nerd Flix & Chill podcast, we talk about upcoming Star Wars projects from films to shows to theme parks.

The season finale of, 'The Book of Boba Fett,' didn't rely on heavy cameos, rather brought the show back to its core characters and story. It ultimately turned out to be a finale that felt satisfying and appropriate based on what the show set up. That said, this series has not been without it's, but when we talk about flaws, we are not talking about spinning blaster shots or battlefield strategy, but rather, the story itself.

In this Nerd Flix & Chill podcast, we break down the season finale. We discuss what worked and what could have been done better.

The sixth episode of, 'The Book of Boba Fett,' kept it's titular character on the backburner, focusing more on Din Djarin and Grogu. This episode featured some jaw-dropping cameos and unexpected surprises. It played all of the right notes. However, this wasn't just a showcase to check in with some of our favorite characters. Instead, we get deep, rich, epic storytelling that displays the interconnectedness of Star Wars. The story parallels between Luke and Yoda, and Grogu and Luke are on full display. We also see the similarities of the traumatic events that impacted the young lives of Grogu and Din Djarin. So many connections.

This was just fantastic stuff all around, and in this Nerd Flix & Chill podcast we break it all down for you. So join us for this detailed breakdown of 'The Book of Boba Fett,' chapter 6, 'From the Desert Comes a Stranger.'

Was it 'The Book of Boba Fett,' or 'The Mandalorian' season 3 premiere? It felt more like the latter, but we are not complaining. While the primary storyline for this show has seem to have stalled, this Mando-focused episode injected a new-level of excitement. The question is, will Din Djarin now overshadow Boba Fett in his own show? Sure seems like it.

In this Nerd Flix & Chill podcast, we breakdown all of the fantastic storytelling details in 'The Book of Boba Fett,' episode five, 'The Return of The Mandalorian.'

'The Book of Boba Fett,' continues to be a series that is building toward a huge clash. However, the audience can also be left wanting. Though the last 3 episodes are likely to be filled with reveals and cameos, there are times where we wish this show would show it's hand a little more.

That said, this weeks installment was an improvement over a clunky third episode.

In this Nerd Flix & Chill podcast, we breakdown, 'The Gathering Storm.'

The third episode of 'The Book of Boba Fett,' has some interesting moments but seems to lack to sharpness of the first two episodes. We struggled with some of the storytelling decisions, and had some issues with the visual effects  as well.

While this show has had some incredible moments, this episode we found to be lacking. In this Nerd Flix & Chill podcast, we dive deep into 'The Streets of Mos Espa.'

After a year-long wait, we finally have a live-action 'Star Wars' series to discuss. 'The Book of Boba Fett,' has not broken any new ground in terms of location, but it is filling in a rich backstory for characters that have been easy to overlook in 'Star Wars' lore. This series has a lot of potential and we are looking forward to where it goes.

The season finale of 'The Wheel of Time,' was polarizing for many book readers and show-watchers alike. It has many ups and downs, but it does improve on multiple viewings. There are story points that become much clearer and a resolution that sets up great things for season 2.

When we dive deeper into the episode, it is evident that production issues related to COVID and one of the principle performers leaving the show, had a major impact on the production. Scenes had to be relocated and rewritten, CGI used to replace actors in costume, all made for a difficult production. When one looks at the season finale in that context, it is a miracle they turned out what they did.

In this Nerd Flix & Chill podcast, we break down the season 1 finale.

'The Wheel of Time,' episode seven, 'The Dark Along the Ways,'  reveals some of the shows most guarded secrets. However, it may be remembered more for a cold-open that is one of the most well-executed scenes ever in on-screen fantasy storytelling.

This show  gets better each week and this episode really cements the show's place among elite fantasy films and television.

In this Nerd Flix & Chill podcast, we break down this fantastic episode.

The White Tower is a place full of well trained Aes Sedai with their own plans and ambitions. It seems as though Moiraine may be in over her head, but in episode 6 of 'The Wheel of Time,' we learn that Moiraine has a plan of her own.

In this Nerd Flix & Chill podcast, we dive deep into the political maneuvering of the White Tower. We also discuss The Amerlyn Seat, the very awkward ending and much more.

Nerd Flix & Chill is here with another podcast recap of 'The Wheel of Time.' This week's episode, 'Blood Call's Blood,' finds many of our characters dealing with the aftermath of Logain's attack. It is an episode that expertly navigates through themes of grief and vulnerability. But there are fun moments as well, including the introductions of the beloved Loial.

This show continues to impress, even when the story deviates from the source material. Rage Judkins and team have maintained the spirit and integrity of the characters while also giving them further development.

The fourth episode of 'The Wheel of Time,' excels at providing exposition while also advancing the story in interesting ways. Even more remarkable, the key set piece in this episode actually steps away from the books and does it's own thing and does it successfully by maintaining the spirit and integrity of the characters.

In this Nerd Flix & Chill podcast we break down why this episode was so successful

'Marvel's Eternals,' is a unique film that breaks the traditional formula of a superhero origin story. It is a film that is ambitious and thoughtful but also a film that has left some viewers wanting more. It is a film that aims very high, and warrants conversation. Even on our podcast, we have a split opinion on the film.
