The season finale of 'The Wheel of Time,' was polarizing for many book readers and show-watchers alike. It has many ups and downs, but it does improve on multiple viewings. There are story points that become much clearer and a resolution that sets up great things for season 2.

When we dive deeper into the episode, it is evident that production issues related to COVID and one of the principle performers leaving the show, had a major impact on the production. Scenes had to be relocated and rewritten, CGI used to replace actors in costume, all made for a difficult production. When one looks at the season finale in that context, it is a miracle they turned out what they did.

In this Nerd Flix & Chill podcast, we break down the season 1 finale.

'The Wheel of Time,' episode seven, 'The Dark Along the Ways,'  reveals some of the shows most guarded secrets. However, it may be remembered more for a cold-open that is one of the most well-executed scenes ever in on-screen fantasy storytelling.

This show  gets better each week and this episode really cements the show's place among elite fantasy films and television.

In this Nerd Flix & Chill podcast, we break down this fantastic episode.

The White Tower is a place full of well trained Aes Sedai with their own plans and ambitions. It seems as though Moiraine may be in over her head, but in episode 6 of 'The Wheel of Time,' we learn that Moiraine has a plan of her own.

In this Nerd Flix & Chill podcast, we dive deep into the political maneuvering of the White Tower. We also discuss The Amerlyn Seat, the very awkward ending and much more.

Nerd Flix & Chill is here with another podcast recap of 'The Wheel of Time.' This week's episode, 'Blood Call's Blood,' finds many of our characters dealing with the aftermath of Logain's attack. It is an episode that expertly navigates through themes of grief and vulnerability. But there are fun moments as well, including the introductions of the beloved Loial.

This show continues to impress, even when the story deviates from the source material. Rage Judkins and team have maintained the spirit and integrity of the characters while also giving them further development.

Enjoy the podcast, and listen to our recaps every week.

The fourth episode of 'The Wheel of Time,' excels at providing exposition while also advancing the story in interesting ways. Even more remarkable, the key set piece in this episode actually steps away from the books and does it's own thing and does it successfully by maintaining the spirit and integrity of the characters.

In this Nerd Flix & Chill podcast we break down why this episode was so successful

'Marvel's Eternals,' is a unique film that breaks the traditional formula of a superhero origin story. It is a film that is ambitious and thoughtful but also a film that has left some viewers wanting more. It is a film that aims very high, and warrants conversation. Even on our podcast, we have a split opinion on the film.

In this Nerd Flix & Chill podcast, we discuss our thoughts in this review of 'Marvel's Eternals.'

Our show begins with 'Dune.'  This film excels on nearly every level. It is well-written, terrifically acted and the every little detail is well thought out and realized. It is a modern wonder of sci-fi filmmaking.

We have something a little different in this week's Nerd Flix & Chill podcast, a theater review. I was able to catch Hamilton's return to Broadway and wanted to share thoughts on the experience of double-featuring both Hadestown and Hamilton on the same day. Before that, we also talk about 'What If...?' and later in the show we give our thoughts on the 'Hawkeye' trailer.

The Hamilton review starts at 11:30, so be prepared for a rave review of the show, the cast and the experience of live theater.

In this Nerd Flix & Chill podcast we dive deep into the trailer for 'The Matrix: Resurrections.' The trailer is impressive, however this is a film that has a lot of heavy lifting to untie the knots created in the two sequel films. Enjoy our breakdown of the trailer and analogies to hamburgers and 'Arrested Development' season five.

Also, in this podcast we discuss the zombie episode of 'Marvel's What If...?,' as we try to figure out where this show is heading.

'Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings,' has stunning visuals and breathtaking fight choreography. However, it also contains so much more. It has a more nuanced approach to it's familial conflict and a storytelling style that promotes showing over telling. It is a film that feels fresh and timely, while also employing classic themes. Simu Liu and the rest of the cast shine and we cannot wait to see more of this character.

This is our Nerd Flix & Chill podcast review of 'Shang-Chi and the Legend of The Ten Rings.'

In this Nerd Flix & Chill Podcast we talk about the very dark and very impressive fourth episode of 'Marvel's What If...?' The episode is a full blown tragedy, expertly told over 30 minutes, that sets up parallels between this version of Dr. Strange and The Scarlett Witch's story from Wandavision.

Also this week, we finally have a trailer for The Wheel of Time television series. We talk about the trailer and our expectations for the series. Enjoy the show!

The Suicide Squad is an over-the-top, gory, funny and occasionally heartfelt film. James Gunn essentially lets loose in a way that only he can as a storyteller. This film is the rare instance of a sequel that is significantly greater than it's awful predecessor.

In this Nerd Flix & Podcast we review The Suicide Squad and reflect on the the missteps of the first film.

After over a year of delays due to the pandemic, Black Widow is finally in theaters! The first MCU film in over 2 years is scoring big at the box office and with home viewers on Disney+.
