The season finale of 'The Wheel of Time,' was polarizing for many book readers and show-watchers alike. It has many ups and downs, but it does improve on multiple viewings. There are story points that become much clearer and a resolution that sets up great things for season 2.
When we dive deeper into the episode, it is evident that production issues related to COVID and one of the principle performers leaving the show, had a major impact on the production. Scenes had to be relocated and rewritten, CGI used to replace actors in costume, all made for a difficult production. When one looks at the season finale in that context, it is a miracle they turned out what they did.
